Why Disciple Making Movements?

Northern Colorado continues to grow in population with each passing year, and we continue to see the churched population diminish. Why? Is it the case that God is done with Colorado?

May it not be!!

We are living in a time and culture that may suggest we need to look at both the “Church as we know it” and the Great Commission through a new lens.

With a broader lens of what is going on globally, there are “Book of Acts Movements” occurring.  These movements are ushering in large numbers of new followers of Jesus.  They include individuals from different cultures, religions and segments of society. 

Should we ask the question: Could God be inviting the Church in Northern Colorado to learn from our brothers and sisters around the world?

In North America, we are beginning to experience a fresh and inspiring work of God that could influence “Church as we know it”. We are excited to partner with God in implementing movement principles which result in multiplicative Disciple Making, thus extending His love and Kingdom in Northern Colorado.

Isaiah 43:19 states:  “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

There are people all over North America who are awakening to a fresh work of God in their networks. Might Northern Colorado be next? Might all of Colorado be next? DMM NOCO exists to Unleash Disciple Making Movements in Northern Colorado.

DMM NOCO has five primary purposes to help Unleash DMM in NOCO.

  • There are many people who have yet to hear about DMM in North America. Many of us are looking for more purpose in our daily lives and just don’t know where to find it. DMM provides a paradigm where ordinary disciples are equipped to make more disciples who make more disciples. DMM NOCO is committed to bringing awareness to Northern Colorado.

  • DMM NOCO provides regular Habits of a Multiplying Disciple Training for groups of people to cohort together in a learning experience. Disciples are learners and training is a great way for every follower of Jesus to learn with others who are committing to being a worker in the Lord’s harvest.

  • DMM NOCO is committed to providing everyone with a paradigm shifting experience of practicing the Habits of a Multiplying Disciple Maker. Everyone in DMM NOCO is a learner and a practitioner. We have heard it said that if you have not failed 10 times you have not really begun. So we all are committed to being life long learners and practitioners.

  • DMM NOCO has people who are a little further along in their DMM journey and can provide support, care, encouragement, and walk alongside practitioners in all of our DMM journeys. Everyone is better with coaching, and we all need help to learn from one another and to help each other live into the calling of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

  • DMM NOCO has built a library of resources to help anyone on your DMM journey. We have curated a great list of books to read, videos to watch, partnerships to labor with, global leaders to access and learn from, conferences to attend, and local events to strengthen all of us in work of owning the lostness of Northern Colorado.
